2006 Bike For Bibles Commonwealth Ride
17th February to 12th March 2006
Stage 1: Tasmania Tour
Stage 2: Adelaide to Melbourne
The Commonwealth Games are being held in Melbourne in 2006, and will begin on the 15th March. What better way to take in the action of the games by first being involved in a Bike for Bibles ride, and raising money for Scriptures for countries in Eastern Europe long the way. The project countries have been hit hard by war, strife and poverty.
Get involved in the ride, then stay on in Melbourne at the completion of the ride, and attend the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, or visit numerous venues and cheer on your country as they compete to be the best in the commonwealth.
Stage 1 will begin in Tasmania, and you will travel around the Apple Isle and experience the beauty and tranquillity of this amazing Island. The ride will take you through areas including St. Helens, Swansea, Hobart, Mt Wellington, Strahan and the lovely Cradle Mountain.
Stage 2 will begin in Adelaide. Continuing riders will fly across from Tasmania, and will join new riders starting their journey in Adelaide. The team will ride through the colourful Adelaide Hills, down to the Coorong National Park and Mount Gambier with its large extinct volcanic lakes. The team will then journey to Melbourne along the spectacular Great Ocean Road, with a stop to see the 12 Apostles and magnificent coastal views.
Download an application form for registration. Places will be limited, so get your registration in early. You can ride in one or both of the stages. For more information contact
